Ada Susans

Ada Susans died from an illegal operation.

She had been admitted to St Thomas' Hospital as an abdominal case on 20 July 1917 and died there at 11.30pm the same day.

The police were informed at Kennington Lane and an inquest was held on 23 July 1917 with the jury returning the verdict that Ada Susans met her death by an unknown instrument used illegally by some person or persons unknown.

Ada Susans made no statement before her death and exhaustive enquiries were made by the police but no person was arrested.
